SUMMARY:Ft Worth 63rd Christmas Bird Count
DESCRIPTION:Come join other FWAS Members on our 63rd Annual Christmas Bird Count. \nIf you would like to help\, please contact: \nMichael Perez\, Count Leader \nEmail:  maroonmichael9600@gmail.com \nPhone: 817-781-7018 \nThis year marks the 121st National Audubon Christmas Bird Count. There are many CBCs across the state of Texas. The counts are to be held between December 15th and January 5th. A listing is provided online at Houston Audubon (houstonaudubon.org) \nThe Ft. Worth CBC has been held every year since 1958. The count circle is centered in White Settlement (near Clifford Street and Comal Avenue.) There are 17 teams covering 17 areas in the 15-mile circle. Many of the teams need volunteers to help count species and numbers of each. Most of the teams begin just before dawn. The day ends at sunset and we meet at the Ft. Worth Nature Center for a review of the data and a cold dinner (provided by the chapter!) If you can only take part for some of the day let Michael know and he will place you with the best team. \nContact Michael if you would like to take part in the national citizen science project.
